In the first step, a solar module generates direct current. However, it cannot be used indoors in this form, as our power grids are picky and much prefer alternating current.
This is where the inverter comes into play: it converts direct current into alternating current. At the same time, it also tracks consumption and ensures that it is fed into the public grid. A distinction is made here between module inverters, solar inverters, battery inverters and hybrid inverters.
We have chosen two manufacturers of inverters and apply very high quality standards to both of them. When making the selection, it was important to us that we rely on brands that have many years of know-how and produce the majority of their production domestically, thus strengthening the local economy.

The manufacturer E3/DC stands for a real premium product and is particularly suitable for the discerning buyer. E3/DC was created in 2010 as a spin-off from Wilhelm Karmann GmbH in Osnabrück. Also coming from the automotive industry, E3/DC developed into a developer of intelligent inverters and power storage solutions. In the meantime, they can bask in their success and set new sustainable standards for home supply. With its innovative technology, E3/DC even manages to continue to supply you with electricity during power outages when your neighbors then frantically light the candles. Incidentally, unlike the rock legend AC/DC, the name is not made up of alternating current and direct current: E3 stands for saving, renewable and effective – but DC also means direct current here (although we would have found umbrella champion quite appropriate).
