What is a micro inverter?

Module inverters have so far been less common in Germany. The technology works differently here:

While with normal inverters (solar and hybrid) all strings are bundled into the inverter and the electricity is converted there, module inverters are installed on each individual module and change the electricity directly on site.

This makes sense, for example, on very angled or shaded roofs, as the optimal power result is obtained from each module.
