direct current

Batteries work with direct current. Direct current (DC) is a movement of charge that always flows in the same direction in a circuit with the same voltage; (Electrons move through an electrical conductor from the negative pole to the positive pole). Direct current can be generated from alternating current. Rectifiers are used here.
